BOXING CARDIO TRAINING FOR ANY AGE
Anyone, regardless of age, can do this boxing workout at home using only their own bodyweight, and it's a great way to get a taste of the sport. You can burn as many as 500 calories an hour while sculpting your arms, shoulders, core and legs through boxing. Boxing is an excellent way to strengthen both your mind and your body at the same time because it requires intense concentration to hit the punches.
A jab and a cross.( Round 1)
Do ten reps on each side.
A. Place your right foot in front of you and your arms in a "guard" stance (elbows bent, hands in fists on either side of your chin). Punch your right arm forward, quickly turning your fist down and lifting your left heel off the ground, then your left arm forward, rotating your left hip into the punch and lifting your left heel off the ground. Then punch your right arm forward again.
In order to bob and weave from left to right, lower into a kneeling squat and circle your upper body as if tracing a letter "U" with your upper body from the back to the front. Reset the clock to the beginning of the current period. That's one complete set.
As soon as possible, complete a set of 10 repetitions on each side, then swap positions and continue on the other side.
Boxer pushups( Round 2)
Plank position with hands directly under shoulders and core engaged
A. Start in plank position with hands directly under shoulders .
B. Lower your body until your chest is only a few inches from the floor.
C. Float above the earth by raising your arms halfway and then lowering them again.
D. Press all the way up to get back to a full plank. That equates to one whole set.
Avoid arching your back or letting your hips descend during each repetition. Try kneeling down if it's too much.
