Seeing Carlos Santana was such an honor. A living legend, a musical God!! So glad i was able to experience it
I drove all the way to Salzburg and back just to let my son hear Santana. Now he is a great guitar player. I am so proud.
the people up front - how did their faces not melt off. There are barely words - 3 percussionists, the keys, the horns, the flirt with jazz and then the whole jump. and the PRS geez.
mi papa cuando yo era chico me hizo escuchar este tema, flor de luna y samba pa ti, te quiero mucho pa, todos los días sigo aprendiendo de vos
Oh that guitar solos gives me the chills 🫡
Since 1970 he's been the biggest part of my life I can always count on him 🌟
No costumes or makeup for attention, the crowd just focused and appreciating pure talent. What a legend.
Carlos Santana is the best lead guitarist to have ever grazed the face of the earth.I can't get enough of him. From Kulepaugla village, Council Ward 4.Kerowagi District, Chimbu Province, Papua New Guinea
I am Transported into Musical Ecstasy of Splendid Delight 🎉 when I hear Santana 🌿✨️🎸Performing This Masterpiece🎵❤🎶
For me, Carlos Santana is rank #1 guitarist of the world.
Absolute magic
Bit late now but...
Here’s an old man’s (I’m 61 now) anecdote that probably means nothing to anyone else (normal):
When I was about 18-19 I was roaming around in France picking grapes and stuff and I saw a guy crushing some tablet and carefully putting it on his tooth. I asked if he was ok and he told me not to worry he just had a terrible tooth ache and was crushing pain killers directly on his tooth. As this was the morning and I couldn’t help even if I wanted too I walked on. As the day went by I saw him a couple of times doing the same thing. This was in Avignon by the way.
Santana were playing there on the night so I hung around. I sat at the walls of the centre of town and heard Santana for free as you could hear them playing all through the town. As Europa sounded and at the moment it picked up rhythm I put my hands to my head in awe and looked around. I caught the eye of the guy with the tooth ache and using sign language (thumbs up) asked if he was feeling ok. He gave the thumbs up back and shouted while pointing at where the sound was coming from “this is better than any f—king pain killer.
If Carlos ever reads this he should know that he, just for a while, he was able to alleviate a guy who was in agony, pain and suffering thanks to his incredible talent and his ability to transmit feeling that goes beyond the norm.
Kind of did that for me too, but for a different type of pain. So there you go. boring old man's boring old anecdote :), but kind of magic all the same.
By far one of the best musicians on the planet. I've head the pleasure of seeing him live about 4 times, it's exactly like this video. When he plays, he's wholly a part of the song. It's transformative.
Carlos is one of few artists who can touch your soul.
The first time I seen Carlos in person was at Mammoth Gardens in Denver Colorado. He played Samba pa Ti. And tears came from both of our eyes. I was hooked from that day forward. I am 70 yrs old & it seems like yesterday!!!😢❤
The first time I heard this it brought me to tears. Uncontrollable tears. Carlos is more than just a great guitarist , he's a gift from above.
I can hear the tears crying from his guitar. Absolute majestic.
I used to listen to the album version with my friend but this is now his tribute
