Rice Cooker Meehoon 2020 #gingerlim

Who would have thought that you can cook anything else other than rice in a rice cooker. That's why they call it a rice cooker, right? If you ever run out of gas(propane) or don't have a stove to begin with you can still cook meehoon(vermicelli).

200g mince meat
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Marinate for 30 mins

Sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp dark soy
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp pepper

Add oil and fry the mince meat till cooked. Remove and set aside

Add more oil and fry 1 large slice onion
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 large bowl of shredded cabbage
1 carrot shredded
Fry till vegetables are soft
200ml chicken stock
Add soaked meehoon(vermicelli)

Return the meat to the noodles

Close the lid and wait till it pop up when it's cooked.
Serve with garnish of your choice. Example fried shallots, spring onion, coriander leaves
