Our 5th day on the Big Island was (mostly) spent at our 20th National Park: Hawaii Volcanoes! While the National Park has changed a lot from a year ago and there is no active lava flow or lava glow, we had a great morning learning about the history of eruptions on the island, going on an amazing hike down into the Kilauea Iki Crater, and exploring other spots in the park. We finished the day with the Punalu’u Black Sand Beach and vegan gelato!
