BIOGRAPHY:
BIGYUKI
6歳からピアノをはじめ、バークリー音大在学中からセッション・プレイヤーとして活躍。ア・トライブ・コールド・クエストとJ・コールの全米チャート1位獲得アルバムにそれぞれ参加し、JAZZシーンの最重要人物であるロバート・グラスパーやカマシ・ワシントンらと共演し賞賛を受ける。サイドマンとして数多くの成功を収めつつも、ソロ・アーティストとして自身の拠点となるNYで結成したバンドで日本や海外で多くのフェスに参加し、2019年はフジロックのレッドマーキーに出演。2021年ユニバーサルからアルバム「Neon Chapter」をリリース。2023年は日本全国ツアーを敢行し、5拠点で8公演を大成功に収めた。

BIGYUKI started playing the piano at the age of 6, and after graduating from high school, he enrolled in the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the United States. After moving to New York, he joined Talib Kweli and Bilal's band, and he had the opportunity to collaborate with Robert Glasper. In 2016, he was involved in albums released by A Tribe Called Quest and J. Cole, respectively, and achieved the feat of being the first Japanese artist to participate in two US number one albums. Currently, he is touring the world with artists such as Antonio Sanchez and José James who are active in genres-less activities, and participating in festivals in Japan, US, and Europe, and released his latest album ‘Neon Chapter’ with Universal Music.
