In honor of 'unwavering dedication and compassion' of all Filipino nurses in Houston, Mayor John Whitmire officially proclaimed May 13, 2025 as Filipino Nurses Day in Houston, Texas.

The Proclamation recognizes the compassion, dedication, and professionalism of Filipino nurses that enable them to significantly contribute to Houston’s healthcare system across various medical fields.
