Discovered Green Day in my 40’s while my kids were in High School. Love them more and more every day of my life. I’m now 70 and have been to several amazing GD concerts. My husband thinks I’m nuts….I don’t f*cking care! They’re the greatest band EVER.

Discovered Green Day in about 1993 when, as a US Navy Sailor, we stopped in Hawaii and I asked a record store employee what’s good. He handed me the Kerplunk album and I was absolutely hooked. Then Dookie landed soon after and everyone discovered them too.

Love you guys! Your music has been with me through my whole life! I started listening to your band since I was 10 yo and in 14 I've met my love (my present wife) and we got together because of your music, we got our first dance, our first kiss while Green Day's song were playing.
And now I'm 27, we have 6th month son, and I'm playing your song's to him on the guitar all the time. I'm sure he will listen your music with such patient and love, like we are!

It's funny how with bands like Green Day that's really influential and got me into playing guitar, there are periods of initial mania where I fell in love with the songs, energy and overall aura of the band, and then I started to make my own music, listened to other musicians, got hooked to those other music and kinda lose some of my interests in them, didn't feel as influenced by them as before, but then years went by, I keep on making my own music, have my own releases, grew up, and I found myself fell in love with them all over again, but now, rather than mania, there's this renewed, and bigger, appreciation and admiration to their craft, the songwriting, the arrangement, the lyrics, the tone of the voice, the mixing, the solidity of the members etc.
