On the adventure of a lifetime sailing 2,500 nautical miles from Tahiti to Hawaii, snowboarder Travis Rice and surfer Ian Walsh explored the some of the most pristine ecosystems on the planet, the Line Islands, located in the Central Pacific. They found waves that had never been surfed before, tasted the sweetest coconuts ever cracked, and endured a fierce squall in the Doldrums. Seventy-three percent of the water samples they collected contained microplastics, confirming that even the most secluded parts of the ocean are contaminated.
