The UK is to begin talks with other countries on 'return hubs' for failed asylum seekers as the government seeks to crack down on small boats crossing the Channel.
On a trip to Albania, Sir Keir Starmer announced that the government would begin exploring the possibility of sending failed asylum seekers for processing in third countries prior to deportation.

Obviously, couldn’t use Rwanda for this…
What about the millions already here I'm guessing it's free homes and benefits for them
Yea i call bullshit, bullshit
You can't return them if you don't know their nationality
he lies, why even bother listening
I don’t understand one thing about the United Kingdom.
You talk every day about immigration and about Albania, but I still don’t understand why you haven’t liberalized visas for Albanians. How is it possible that countries like Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and many others have done so – but not the UK?
The UK has granted visa-free access to over 500 million citizens from Latin America – and no one says a word about it. Meanwhile, in London, murders, robberies, and serious crimes happen every single day, mostly committed by citizens from Latin America and Africa.
Today in London, people are afraid to walk around wearing a Rolex – and not because of Albanians, but because of others. In Tirana, no one robs you for a watch or a phone. In fact, in many cases, you feel safer in Albania than in the heart of London.
Why don’t Switzerland, Denmark, Monaco, Sweden, or Norway complain about Albanians? There are thousands of Albanians living and working there legally and honestly.
But if someone enters a country illegally, they’re forced to work off the books – and when you’re homeless, jobless, and undocumented, many end up in illegal activities out of desperation.
In the UK, between 560 and 800 murders happen every year. But by whom? Albanians? No. Mostly by Africans, Asians, and others. Albanians are not responsible for those statistics – yet you never talk about that.
to late only being done bcuz the ppl hate how starmer was running the country , he got off on foot with farmers pensioners and employers nic cont ect and open borders cut v a t is what he hould of done 1st
When is thos man actually going to do anything he says that he is going to do? Everything he says is in perpetual future tense.
I'll believe it when I see it
Just stop the boats inthe first place stop spending money on failed projects like smashing the gangs and stop spending tax payers money on providing entertainment for them when they arrive here on said boats disgusting when you took the winter heating allowance off our pensioners
Funny how he’s suddenly addressing this publicly now …🤔
People as an ideological currency..so creating a program that treats them as a currency is the logical end point...
OK, how much do we pay and how many will be allowed to come here?
Really? A THIRD country? How many millions did we send to Rwanda for the sake of a handful of volunteers (who we also paid) getting on one plane?
JUST. PROCESS. ASYLUM. CLAIMS.
- staff the Home Office properly
- staff the detention centres properly
- stop paying private hotels
- process the claims and let the people who have legitimate claims stay, settle, work and pay taxes like we're required to by law.
I never had high hopes for Starmer but he's sunk to entirely new levels. We expect the Tories and the far right crazies to be despicable, Labour are supposed to be the antidote to that. A party created by working people for working people has degraded itself to the lowest possible section of society, trying to appeal to far right racists and deplorable, anti-democracy idiots. I'm so ashamed of my country it's unbearable.
Another crackdown?
Any guesses how it will go ?
We won't fail them. That... is the smokescreen
Won't happen we'll pay to build nice new accommodation blocks that will be sold to a private developer just like what happened with the Rwanda deal
Send ‘em to El Salvador 👍
Hubs? don’t you mean camps?
