The Master System in the Neo Egoist League (NEL) is one of the most compelling aspects of Blue Lock — not just for the insane skill on display, but for the insights we get into the minds of the best players in the world. In this video, we go beyond raw football talent and instead rank the NEL Masters based on their value as mentors.
From Chris Prince’s powerful mindset coaching and philosophical gems, to Snuffy’s life lessons on identity and balance, to Loki’s questionable role as a mentor — we’ll break down what each of them truly brought to the table.
💡 Who helped their players grow the most? Who fell short? And what can we, as regular people, learn from their approaches? This is a personal, deep-dive analysis from the perspective of a 25-year-old Blue Lock fan who found these lessons surprisingly relatable.
🚀 Featuring thoughts on:
Chris Prince’s underrated impact on Reo, Nagi & Chigiri
Snuffy’s challenge to Barou and the meaning of football as “just a job”
Noa’s reality checks and data-driven development
Lavinho’s role in confidence building
Loki’s shortcomings as a master coach
And much more…

Hope you guys can forgive me for the clickbait title on this one, I wanted to see how well it'd do lol
Also I didn't really talk about Loki's "philosophy" because there's not really anything to work with for the perspective of this channel, for a look into it I HIGHLY recommend Suzel's breakdown of the PXG game which completely transformed the way I saw it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmTqxb0AZXc
Lavinho is a vibe in my opinion,he fuels up your creativity while letting you live your life and have fun! So hes my favorite master
I really like how Chris Prince's whole philosophy revolves around the "Self" which has been a discussion between Philosophers from even pre-socratic age.
And i like how he focuses on the ideal self, because from my classes regarding the ideal self, to not lose yourself and create a false self (false ego, false everything), you must both remind yourself of the "real" self and the "ideal" self, your oresent and your goal, and whether they align or not.
And Nagi fell into that false self... False ego, when he "won" against Isagi, the mask that was his ego faded, because he wasn't able to produce an ideal self that's solid, his "ideal" self at the time was the one that beat Isagi, and once he did, he reached that ideal self, but never got past it
I like Suzels take on Loki's philosophy. That its essentially a crude take on the term "Natural Selection". Focusing on, and building teams around "Natural Talents". That gives credence to Loki's line "In the wild the slow ones die first", and fits in with Nanase's growth coming from realizing his natural born talent as opposed to learning a new mindset like Isagi and Kaiser would. From Shidou, to Rin, to Zantetsu, to Charles, to even Loki himself, the theme is always natural born talent. The one kind of exception to this is Karasu, but his whole persona is still relevant as it is all about recognizing who is extraordinary (Talented) vs mediocre (Not Talented), which fits into the "Natural Selection" vibe of PXG.
I think Loki's theme embodied this perfectly, as it was very much a "Sink Or Swim" type of team mentality. Loki at one point said to Noa "If they lose that means that was all they were worth". Despite what a lot of people feel about sink or swim mentalities in real life sports, philosophies like that do let people who thrive in those environments grow, but it does come at the cost of those who can't keep up. I don't think Loki was a bad master for this reason, but is the harshest representation of what Ego was saying about "Picking the wrong club can spell failure". For those who were talented like Rin and Shidou, they had a team built around them and their playstyles, and both become rank 1 and 3 respectably. In other teams they might not have been given the same amount of resources dedicated to them. For other players though, joining the team meant instant elimination, as it essentially was a team that helped the rich get richer.
I really like snuffy as a master he is such a likeable person
As someone whos been watching your content for a while now, thisnby far is one of the most well put together and well edited videos you've made, keep up the good work my guy!
Never stop making content. Love the stuff you do, especially with Blue Lock and Haikyuu being my two favourite series as well.
I didn’t think about it too much on my first read but on a reread of the NEL arc it’s honestly insane how wise and how amazing the stars philosophies and messages are. Great vid 🙌
I always loved the fact that we got adult football pros mentoring bluelockers. and each of them having unique style of coaching and philosophy, they're such good characters to have in blue lock. It was great to hear your thoughts on them
Surprisingly Chris was the only one who tried to help them each improve individually. He’s not a great coach but a great trainer
@szczesliwekomunikacjeladow383
One of my favorite things about Noa was his reaction to Isagi getting in the way in the barcha match.
Instead of the usual cliche of the character messing up and everyone treating them like they just killed multiple families, Noa just calmly explained to Isagi what kind of a player Lavinho is.
Really made me like the charcter alot more after that.
I think Noel Noa assumed that everyone who joined his stratum was already thinking like he was 💀 No wonder he was so direct with Isagi telling him that his way of thinking is too small
A comment i read before puts it best. Chris is better as a personal trainer, Snuffy is better as a coach.
How they teach are also reverse of eachother. Chirs prince is: Train your body ---> Impact on the field, Snuffy follows: Learn how to impact the field ---> train your body. Chris improves your limits Snuffy increases your efficiency.
this thumbnail sent chills down my spine time to enjoy the show
I really love your videos.whenever i have a problem its almost like you made a video to help me😂❤
Hey bro I just wanna say that I really appreciate your channel, you literally made me realise that media and art can have a more profound purpose then just entertaining and that art can literally do and be anything
I know what I'm saying sounds corny and shit but thanks👍
Aside from Loki being terrible, I think the masters each nurture a specific type of player.
Noa was excellent for someone driven by logic - and willing to push through the frustration and limitations Noel Noa used to force his team to evolve.
He pretty handily pressured both Kaiser and Isagi into evolving through despair. A rough-house evolve that I doubt Isagi would've undergone if he had someone try to nurture his talents directly.
Then we have Bachira, who very much would've suffered underneath someone like Snuffy, but blossomed into the best player for his team.
Here's my full essay on masters if the NEL. I will judge them based on the following stats:
1. Numbers of played players
2. Number of passed players
3. Average players per match
4. Total price of the players
5. Average Player Price- including those who got zero
6. Average played player price- excluding those who got zero
7. Play Rate- chance to play at all in NEL
8. Success Rate- chance to pass the NEL
SP/PR- success rate divided by play rate- it measures the quality of overall players
So here's the full data:
Noel Noa:
Number of played players: 9
Number of passed players: 8
Average players per match: 5.75
Total Price: 502M
Average Player Price: 50.2M
Average Played Player Price: 55.78M
Play Rate: 90%
Success rate: 80%
SR/PR: 0.88
Julian Loki:
Number of played players: 7
Number of passed players: 5
Average players per match: 5.5
Total Price: 540M
Average Player Price: 60M
Average Played Player Price: 77.14M
Play Rate: 77.77%
Success rate: 55.55%
SR/PR: 0.71
Marc Snuffy:
Number of played players: 6
Number of passed players: 6
Average players per match: 4.75
Total Price: 360M
Average Player Price: 40M
Average Played Player Price: 60M
Play Rate: 66.66%
Success rate: 66.66%
SR/PR: 1
Lavinho:
Number of played players: 8
Number of passed players: 2
Average players per match: 4
Total Price: 240M
Average Player Price: 26.66M
Average Played Player Price: 30M
Play Rate: 88.88%
Success rate: 22.22%
SR/PR: 0.25
Chris Prince:
Number of played players: 7
Number of passed players: 2
Average players per match: 5
Total Price: 232.2M
Average Player Price: 25.8M
Average Played Player Price: 33.17M
Play Rate: 77.77%
Success Rate: 22.22%
SR/PR: 0.28
Here's my thoughts of each master based on the data.
Noel Noa- the problem is that although Bastard Munchen has the best stats, it mostly due to Isagi rather than Noa. However have to give him credit for the number of players played. He gave chance to play to 9 players, even like igaguri and Hiori (that he didn't want to let play).
Loki- I think pretty overlooked master overall. PXG has the highest total price and price for average played player. The main thing I got from this data is the philosophy of PXG. Bastard has logic, Barcha imagination, Manshine strength, Ubers tactics, and PXG... Money?.. I was very confused but now I see that PXG is suited for more balanced players that in exchange will get money bonus. If you choose PXG you'll probably pass the NEL but you won't improve yourself. That's why Loki has high average players per match stat.
Snuffy- the stats show mainly that Ubers choose quality over quantity. Snuffy has perfect SR/PR, and lowest number of played players. Every player that played for Ubers passed the NEL. If you choose Ubers and you have talent, Snuffy will find you a place where you will contribute goodly to the game. Although his philosophy doesn't match well with Ego's, I think if you able to use his tactics teachings as a step for evolution, he is the most profitable master in the NEL.
Lavinho- I think he is the worst master. He has the worst Average players per match, average price for played player and SR/PR. He trained only Bachira in NEL and didn't do anything with others. Also gotta say he and Prince have lots of parallels. They both have 2 players passed, similar total price and both used few reserve players.
Chris Prince: I heard opinions that Chris is one of the best NEL masters (some even say better than Snuffy). However this data shows that's not true so let's go over that. The good things that can be said about Chris is that he powered up Chigiri and Reo... But that's it.
Besides that he didn't do anything. Most people blame reo and nagi in Manshine downfall, but Chris responsible for that too. He didn't do ANYTHING with this situation. He as a trainer should've do something. He could build system around chigiri or Agi. He could even replace Nagi with Hiiragi (Nagi from Walmart) so he could play like always but without the meatriding stuff, but he didn't do ANYTHING. Yes you may argue that he had the most troublesome team in NEL but I think that even Noa could do a better job with the team. He with his harsh attitude wouldn't let this shit slide and put this duo on the bench, which would make them adapt. That's why I would put Noa above him. Overall, unlike Lavinho he at least tried to teach them something but he still far from good trainer. Btw, technically Isagi wirth more than whole manshine city team (excluding Agi) 💀
My ranking:
1. Snuffy
2. Loki
3. Noa
4. Chris
5. Lavinho
Bruh that thumbnail is just fire
Actually Chris Prince’s ability to figure out a player’s specialty based on muscular builds and physiques is pretty impressive. I think only very few people can do that irl
Clean thumbnail and haircut my guy :)
