Vent, Enter, Search workflow for the ladder company driver. 🪓🔥

This video shows the sequence of operations for a VES
by one of our ladder company drivers at a recent
house fire.

👉🏼 Our department prioritizes occupying survivable
spaces quickly. On most fires, we do a mix of interior
searches and VES - often simultaneously. While the
inside team starts their search, the OV and driver are
VES’ing in other areas. This video shows some of that
coordination and communication between the inside
and outside teams.

Our ladder companies are trained to focus on the
following priority of operations:

1️⃣ Rescue
2️⃣ Ventilation
3️⃣ Egress
4️⃣ Utilities

Outside team members will generally focus on tasks in
these order - unless there is a particular need to
adjust.
