Consumer sentiment plunged 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 50.8, the University of Michigan said in its latest survey released Friday, the second-lowest reading on records going back to 1952. April’s reading was lower than anything seen during the Great Recession. #CNN #News

Who would of thought his 7th bankruptcy would be America
How do you add tariffs to another country and tell them not to retaliate? That is so insane.
That’s the reason why the US ranks 31th in education worldwide.
Thank you Trump for making China great again
Trump filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy six times. What makes him qualified as a financial expert?
50% knew this was coming and the rest are starting to realize. There is no stopping it.
Blame on others, blame it on Biden, on Clinton, Kennedy... Blame it on China, on Europe, on Canada, on Greenland... But never blame it on the orange elephant in the room ey 🤐
This guy is killing us. Was any of this necessary? Just leave well enough alone. All he had to do was nothing. He couldn’t even do that right. I long for the day I don’t have to hear his cursed name again.
I'm an ERP consultant focusing on the manufacturing area who was trained by an American firm in China, practiced my skills and gained my experience in China. I spent 16 years with all kinds of manufacturing factories in China and then I moved to the US to experience a different life style. I'm still doing the same job over here with different manufacturing companies in the US. I know how different it is in terms of the manufacturing industry in these 2 countries.
When JD Vance says "Chinese peasants", I say Chinese well educated experienced hard workers and engineers. In my opinion, the Americans already lost their spirits and don't really understand what "hardworking" really means. Comparing to "Chinese peasants", American workers lack of discipline, complain too much and don't give a f**k to qualify. And China factories are way more organized and efficient.
I understand Vance is a politician and what he says makes the voters happy. But in the meantime, he's also fooling the American people, making them ignorant and not see the strenghth of their rivals. If "peasants" can rise within 40 years and make you elegant people suffer, they must being doing something right? Correct?
I can't see any chance the US can win the competition over China for manufacturing.
Trump is literally "Making America's Great Depression Again".
as a factory worker for the last 14 years ive lost track of how many times ive seen people start only to quit a day or two later because they did not realize just how most factory jobs are. Alot of them thought it would be easy "watch the robot and reset it." That just isn't the case in most places.
History books will record "Liberation Day" as a turning point in US history. To borrow from his own analogy, US needed a good workout and diet plan, but he opted for surgery. It was a lobotomy.
The great orange depression..
None of this is about bringing manufacturing jobs to the U.S.
Also, there are many people outside the US who are boycotting American products, travel, investment. Your king poisoned your well.
Because there's 3 years and 9 more months of this nonsense unless the cabinet pulls out the 25th amendment...
And it’s all so needless . . Such is the price of one man’s ego
You cannot cut your way out of recession you've got to invest your way out of recession, the Conservative party are in the dark ages on policy they've got to think again. My primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about £170k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
I am black and from America. That said, man, I love China! they asked America, " who the F do you think you are talking to?" I love it. At 63, I love it.
I bet y'all aren't hatin' on Biden so much now, huh? Unemployment was down. Gas prices were down. Groceries were down. The economy in general was much better. Then the orange Kool-Aid man comes back and throws it all outta whack, again! Voters didn't learn their lesson during his first term in office. We're living in scary times, for sure!
