Friday Night P&W Ethanol Chase into Providence! (March 2024)

On Friday, 3/22/2024, I took a break from the normal college Friday night experiences and decided to follow Providence and Worcester train WOPR, the loaded ethanol extra into Providence. We started out at Mendon Road in Cumberland where after a short wait, the train came into view and was crawling by as it was just north of Valley Falls yard. After watching the whole train pass by, I made my way over to the year old Pawtucket/Central Falls MBTA station and just after parking, the train came into view. After filming the power and first few cars, we hop back on the road onto I-95 and make our way into downtown Providence to the Amtrak/MBTA station where WOPR stopped while waiting on some MBTA traffic to clear up. After a couple commuter rails, WOPR headed south towards the port in Cranston just before midnight and that would conclude our Friday night chase.
