This is the first video in a series where you can follow my son and I as we attempt a backpacking thru hike (known as an end-to-end hike) of the Long Trail in Vermont. This episode covers from the parking area in North Adams, MA to Mile 15.9 on the Long Trail.

This is fantastic Jon. What a great way to get in a long thru before Callen goes off to Uni. I am interested in a comparison, at the end, with the JMT. I truly, no YT BS, look forward to this series. Enjoy!

I hiked the first 100 miles while section hiking thru there 2 years ago.
I hope to complete the rest of the LT before I get too old. I'm 59 now. 😉
I went SOBO in August 2019. Thanks for bringing me back to the trail! I stayed at the GMH too (not sure if you got a spot but we'll find out, I guess!). Really enjoyed it. Happy trails!
What a difference in trails from your PCT this spring. I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys see along the way. Best of luck to you both!!
That open view is on Harmon Hill, a Forest Service controlled burn area that they do for "wildlife management". Funny how it just happens to be on a mountain.
I started on August 21st.
Wonder if we crossed paths..
Those trail-streams are for washing the vermud of your feet! Envious...
