F1 Reverse Merch now available at f1reverse.com/
It is a headline we were all expecting to see at some point but perhaps not this soon. After just two races with the Red Bull team, Liam Lawson is going to be swapped out with Yuki Tsunoda stepping into his place from the Japanese Grand Prix in two weeks time. Yesterday, the news broke from a number of outlets across Europe and while, at the time of recording this, Red Bull have not yet confirmed it, it is a decision that most fans saw coming. Of course, that doesn’t mean it is the correct decision by Red Bull and Liam Lawson has been keen to point out just how much better he is than his replacement. Today, I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.

Even Max has said this is a bad idea. He said "why do we want to put another driver in, to showcase an underperforming car? It's going to make that driver look bad too" I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist of his comment.
0:40 Liam Lawson made the decision to swap Yuki with Liam? Shurely shome mishtake??
If Yuki doesn't work out, then Red Bull can put Jos in the car and just get on with it.
Checo's having a beer and a laugh...
Lawson keeps referring to beating Yuki in F3. It's a good man that knows his limitations. Lawson is an unpleasant unit.
Yuki has to move up. He can’t stay in the second team forever. This is his shot to show what he can do.
Lawson is full of himself.... that ego is very heavy....
They claim an F1 lose 0.1 seconds per 10kg added... it means Lawson's ego weights around 70kg....
Slowson's attitude is poor. It's good that he got demoted and Yuki promoted. He even flipped of Checo last year. He wanted that job and now he's sacked same like Checo.
Lawson has done loads of SIMULATOR work he kept saying he was ready ..... then he finishes last .... common now
Lawson was just plain stupid to imagine that he was ready for the seat. He set himself up for failure. The obvious remedy is to recall Checo.
Sadly the Bull cars are set up strictly for Max's driving style.
Any driver other than Max is not going to perform at close to the level of Mad Max.
That's just simple and very clear facts.
The guy that didn’t respect Checo’s seniority is now out in just 2 races😂
This seemed in part at least, politically driven, as Japan is Yuki's home track. It was a business deal at an opportune time. Little more. Ordinarily they would have given Lawson at least one more race to improve his placings. With that said, Yuki is the more experienced F1 driver and should have probably been given the gig in the first place.
Nothing brutal here just Red Bull promoting the driver that SHOULD of gotten the seat and letting Lawson develop properly.
Disappointed in-Liam having a go at Yuki. if anyone's to blame, it's Marko.
Liam Lawson has made the decision to replace Liam Lawson???
Knew it! The only confusion I feel surrounding this descision is why did they waste the entire winter and the first 2 races? It's kind of amusing everyone had thier heads facing Jack Doohan - waiting for that "expected" drop lol
All I know is I am 100% watching every single bit of coverage for Japan...practice is going to be insane, quali, and especially the race to see what's going to happen because we have no clue how Yuki will handle that RB and equally no clue how Liam will re-adjust to the Racing Bull or the stress of all this going down. Whomever comes out on top I'm sure will have something to say, and so will the fans....Can't wait!
Yuki is an experienced driver. He has nothing to lose here. He can't do any worse than Lawson. If he scores points consistently without making frequent mistakes, that's all that Red Bull needs from him. If the car can't be driven by anyone other than Max, that will be obvious. With Alonso being 45 and Aston Martin being a Honda shop, Yuki could most likely get a position there. I also don't think that Red Bull has a choice. This season is slipping away from them.
