Danny Elfman had several less theme-heavy and more ambient scores in the second half of the 90s and most of the 00s, and this is where they started. If you need someone to set an uneasy scene, Elfman is a good bet, but he still manages to make the music beautiful.
Starring Kathy Bates, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judy Parfitt, Christopher Plummer, David Strathairn, John C. Reilly and Bob Gunton. Screenplay by Tony Gilroy, based on the short but excellent novel by Stephen King. Directed by Taylor Hackford, with an original score by Danny Elfman.
