Salesforce is one of the world’s leading CRM platforms. It helps you streamline, manage, and track your sales process for optimal performance. Even the most simple Salesforce functionality can greatly improve both the day-to-day operations and the big-picture health of your sales, marketing and customer experience teams.

Data in Salesforce is stored in sections called objects. The most popular standard objects for salespeople are Leads, Contacts, Accounts and Opportunites.

Lead - anyone with unknown interest/potential customer.
Contact - qualified lead/known interest (linked to an Account).
Account - a business with whom your company has some sort of relationship.
Opportunities - deals in progress.

We also have Campaigns - they allow you to track the campaign budget, the number of campaign members, their responses, the number of open sales and the number of won sales.

The most popular standard object for support agents is Cases.

Case - a tool that agents use to interact with customers to help get their problems and concerns solved.

Salesforce provides a powerful suite of reporting tools that work together to understand and act on your data.

Reports - give you access to Salesforce data. You can examine your data in various ways and display it in easy-to-understand formats.
Dashboards - a simple way to visualise key data from either one or multiple Salesforce reports.
