Yokosuka's Umikaze Park and Kaibe Fishing Park are very popular and get crowded during the season. Umikaze Park is popular because it is easily accessible from the parking lot, while Kaibe Fishing Park seems to be visited by people who prioritize catching fish.
However, if you can't secure a fishing spot, there's nothing you can do, so you need an alternative to these fishing spots. That's Kannonzaki Park and the new Otsu Port breakwater that I'll introduce here.
Kannonzaki Park has a wide rocky shore and is not suitable for beginners, but there are few anglers, so you'll be free from the stress of crowds. Parking is also free on weekdays, so it's worth knowing about.
