In July 2002, the tourist town of Taos, New Mexico, was rocked by two very disturbing murders. 36-year-old Marioara Shand and 22-year-old LeAnne Martinez were both attacked in the very place they considered safe, their homes. The similarity between both murders had investigators and the community believing that a serial killer may be at large. However, new leads would point the investigation in a new direction that had people questioning who they could really trust.
