How To Play Cold Gin By Kiss - Guitar Lesson - Ace Frehley Gene Simmons Paul Stanley Peter Criss

In this video in review in depth how to play the song Cold Gin by the band Kiss. This song was on their debut album which came out on February 18, 1974. The song Cold Gin was written by Ace Frehley and is one of the most iconic Kiss songs to date. Oddly enough the song doesn't feature a long guitar solo, but rather some riffs musical interludes and key modulations sport of reminiscent of Detroit Rock City which came out years later on the Album Destroyer. In this lesson I review how to play all the rhythm parts as well as the musical interlude and cover some Ace Frehley licks found in the song. While this song is not the most technically challenging to learn, it does provide insight on the technique of Ace Frehley, as well as rock riffs found in the 70's that were staples of the rock world and were the foundation of thousands of rock n roll guitar oriented songs. There is always something to learn in all pieces of music. Love em or hate em, Kiss were a force to reckon with and to some were and are still the hottest band in the land.
