I am always curious to look behind the tourist places in each country that I visit. So, I want to do the same here in Jakarta, Indonesia. I heard that the area around the old port in north Jakarta is interesting and I also heard that it might possible to do a boat ride there. So, I went to the port in Jakarta, called Sunda Kelapa, had a walk around, met tons of friendly people and ended up inside a water village. Definitely a place where you don't see tourists in Jakarta.
