Isaiah’s artistic path has intersected with legends. From performing alongside Ron Carter to harmonizing with Cécile McLorin Salvant, he’s woven his musical tapestry with brilliance. His debut recording, featured on Jazz at Lincoln Center’s ‘Handful of Keys’ album, showcased his virtuosity alongside the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by Wynton Marsalis. Since then, Isaiah has carved his own path, releasing a series of compelling recordings as a bandleader.”

Awards & Accomplishments:
Isaiah J. Thompson, a jazz luminary, claimed victory at the 2023 American Pianists Awards, a testament to his exceptional artistry. The coveted Cole Porter Fellowship in Jazz, awarded by the American Pianists Association, further solidified his reputation. Isaiah’s musical journey commenced in West Orange, New Jersey, where he cultivated his talent at The Calderone School of Music. His dedication to jazz led him to Jazz House Kids and NJPAC Jazz For Teens. Later, Isaiah’s path converged with The Juilliard School, where he graduated with both a Bachelor’s degree in 2019 and a Master’s of Music degree in 2020.
