Assassin Creed Shadows has just released and many people have been able to get their hands on the new game. The general consensus varies between positive and negative. I have put many hours into the game myself, but noticed that its open world, despite being beautiful, was quite empty. There wasn't much to do and it's side quests also seemed quite bare bones. Having played the game, I decided to go back and play Assassin Creed Odyssey, a game genuinely referred to as the best in the series, particularily the open world blueprint Ubisoft had started to favour. In this video I will explain why Odyssey is so beloved, what it got right and what Shadows is missing that Odyssey had back in 2018. I will also attempt to answer the question; does Odyssey leave Shadows in the Shadows?
