We know China as a country with strict censorship and total control, where thousands of security cameras monitor your every step, where bloggers can’t speak about the three subjects starting with T, where everyone has a social credit score, where being blocked on WeChat may ruin your life… Is it all true or are these myths spread by the haters of the great Xi Jinping? Today we’ll find out!

And that is why CIA hated China so much because their cameras really restricted their work. 😅

@jabrowski_

Amazing perspective and video Ilia. Ty bro

@Oldbrow

China's 1.4 billion people have a police ratio of 700 to 1. Think about the ratio of the city you live in? And it is well known that China is one of the safest countries in the world, there are 25 million ➕9 million floating population in the city where I live, but the last major crime problem I saw in the news was the fire three years ago that killed several people, I often left my car door unlocked, and I often left my coat and backpack alone in the restaurant. The last time something was stolen was 15 years ago, and the thief was caught by the police. In China, people who do not plan to commit crimes are never afraid of cameras, but we all like to live in front of cameras. When you talk about spying on people, do you ever think that 1.4 billion people are being monitored? Then I would certainly advise the government to increase the military expenditure.😊

His China Video for the Russian language channel features much more content & more of an in depth Russian perspective than this one. I wish he didnt trim down the English language videos so much.

@Manila-sb3sn

Every corner in that country there’s a police watching you. Thank you for this video.

@dragongirl266

I would like surveillance cameras in the city where I live in Canada. In the past year there has been an increase in car theft or home break ins. And when I drive into the city I now pay exorbitant price for an underground parking lot because they usually have security cameras. Boy - I’m not kidding when I say that I would prefer to have cameras to feel safe in my city - I’m actually envious of the city dwellers in China.

@Arthur-Silva

As far as the metropolitan police being everywhere, I'm from Brazil and in some cities we have the same situation, but those areas are very safe.

@alfaeco15

Fascinating and at the same time terrifying video.
Fantastic job

@acehandler1530

Really enjoyed this trip Ilya, great job of keeping it real! I went to China quite often in the first decade of the 21st century but haven't been back since 2008 - and it has changed so much. We used cash for everything then, even the subway in Beijing. Thanks for the earnings & prices quotes too, pertinent to me. Take care of yourself - and don't cut your hair...ever! ❤

@Webmatex

Really enjoyed the episodes. And we both hate Garbage and mass surveillance!

@befeleme

I would love to have some police cameras on my street in Melbourne, Australia. I am sick and tired of having to remove graffiti from the wall all the time. And last year, there were two attempted burglaries. As to censorship, half of my comments gets regularly censored by YouTube. I hope this comment sticks.

@LindseyLatham

Yay new video

@dankadesign7462

I was watching documentary about the life of the Chinese children whose parents are in prison or executed by government for some reason.Gov isolating these kids & you can not adopt them and their future is very dark.Due to sins of their parents they dont have any chance for normal life!!!Dont tell me this is nice and fair! And not to talk about how they treating animals especially dogs.They killed who knows how many pets during covid pandemic as they believed that they can spread illness!!!Many ordinary Chinesse tried to protest against this practice but nobody listen!!Thats not socialism nor communism thats dictatorship and madness!

The disadvantage of all electronic payments is that it will be very embarrassing if the phone is lost or no power.

@sekainiheiwa3650

Big brother in china watching chinese faces , big brother in western world watching inside your all pockets 😂 . I’m one of the most handsome man on the planet they can scan my face 24/7😅 while they ask you why you got 1000€ on your account 😅

@scotthall3816

Much love to you brother 😊

@dankadesign7462

Camera or not they are corrupted society. very competitive, ego & money driven.
And due to this chinese parents demand a lot from their kids.!
having camera is not bad thing especially for traffic and against crimes but If you can not express your opinion freely without consequence thats diferent and its breach of freedom... you have same problem in other coutries across globe.Governments doesn't like free thinkers...Thank you-very informative!
