कुरकुरीत सुरमई फिश फ्राय करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• ५०० ग्रॅम सुरमई
• अर्ध्या लिंबाचा रस
• १ मोठा चमचा आलं-लसूण पेस्ट
• १/४ चमचा हळद
• १/२ चमचा मीठ
• बारीक चिरलेली कोथिंबीर

Let’s see how to make crispy Surmai fish fry today. This is a popular fish fry recipe. It is crispy outside and moist and soft inside. The best part of it is you can keep it ready before the time and fry whenever required. Surmai is also known as king mackerel fish. This dish is known for it’s rich flavors and nice and juicy texture. A general complaint while making fish rava fry is that the coating comes odd while frying it. Today, I will share a trick to avoid it. This is a real quick and simply delicious recipe. It can be a good starter or side dish. This turns out nice and crunchy outside and moist and soft inside. We already have seen different fish recipes. This is yet another delicious addition to the list. Try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me.
Ingredients:
• 500 gm Surmai
• 1/2 Lemon juice
• 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
• 6 tsp Red chili powder
• 2 tsp Coriander powder
• 1 tsp Cumin powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Garam masala
• 1/4 tsp black Pepper powder
• 1/4 cup Water
• 1 cup / 100 gm fine Rava
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying

Method:
• Wash surmai really good and wipe extra water on it with a clean cotton cloth or tissue paper. Make
sure, you don’t dry the fish completely.
• Add lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and coriander leaves and coat each
piece of fish with this marinate well from both sides.
• Cover and rest for about 15-20 minutes to marinate.
• Mix red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, garam masala and black pepper
powder well together in a bowl and add water.
• Mix well to make paste of it and masala mix for fish fry is ready.
• Mix rava, red chili powder and salt well together in a bowl and rava for fish fry is ready.
• Add the masala mix into the marinated fish and coat each piece of fish well with the masala mix
from both sides.
• Coat each side of the well with rava and press it well so that it won’t come off while frying.
• Heat up a pan on medium heat and add oil.
• When the oil is smoking hot, turn the gas on medium and drop fish into it.
• Fry lower side for about 1 1/2-2 minutes and flip the fish over.
• Fry the other side for another 1 1/2-2 minutes.
• When the fish is fried well from both sides, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it on a wire
rack. Surmai fish fry is ready.
