【Shiso Growing Information】
Optimum temperature for germination: 25-30℃
Optimum temperature for growth: 20-30℃
10-20 days until germination
About 70 days until harvest
Shade plant (prefers shade or partial shade, can grow with 2 hours or more of sunlight per day)
It grows better in a certain amount of sunlight, but please be careful as the scent will disappear if the sunlight is too strong.

【Shiso Dressing Recipe】
Just mix the following ingredients to make a delicious homemade dressing!
10-20 shiso leaves, finely chopped
4 teaspoons sugar
4 teaspoons vinegar
A little grated garlic
3 tablespoons soy sauce
120cc olive oil or sesame oil
White sesame seeds

[About the harvesting timing of shiso]
The harvesting season for shiso berries is usually from mid- to late September, and in some areas around mid-October.

If harvested too early, the berries will not have enough popping sensation.
On the other hand, if harvested too late, the berries will turn brown and become hard, and will remain in your mouth.
Be careful not to miss the timing.
Use the following three as a guide for harvesting.
1. There are two or three flowers remaining at the tip of the bud
2. The stem is still green
3. Green sesame-like berries are visible inside the bud

When the stalk grows to about 15-20 cm, green sesame-like berries will be inside the bud.
As an experiment, try picking a green ear from the stalk and eating it.
When you feel a crunchy texture in your mouth, it's time to harvest.
