Others expressed disappointment at yesterday’s wait but remain steadfast: “We changed our vacation plans to be here—it means a lot to us as Catholics.” The collective gasp, the communion of waiting, the hope for the right man to be chosen—it’s a moment of unity and faith. “I’d love a pope who welcomes like Francis, speaks clearly like Benedict, and leads boldly for the Church.” For now, the smoke is black—but hope rises with every plume. 🙏
