The Refined Gundam Zeta, also known as the Re-GZ, appeared as a mass-produced Zeta Gundam. Anaheim Electronics had to respond to the E.F.S.F. demand for a high-performance general-purpose machine. At the same time, the development team was aiming to mass-produce a variable machine like the Zeta Gundam. The Re-GZ was probably born during this transitional period.
The theory that the "pathetic MS" is not the Re-GZ, but the Nu Gundam before the psycho-frame was installed is often seen on the internet, and I personally think that the PS1 scene at the end of the video may have contributed to the spread of this theory. However, in the game called Gundam Versus, there is a line of dialogue from the Re-GZ (when Amuro is aboard) in which he gets angry at being called a pathetic MS.
