How often to replace your spacer?

Answering a question about a recommendation to replace spacers every year. I do agree that spacers need to be kept clean, but if they work well there probably isn't a good enough reason to change them. As long as they are working properly, they should serve you well for a long time.
There is also an ongoing discussion about environmental impacts from discarding inhalers and spacers too often.
