🇮🇩 INDONESIA For Christmas!! Wishing YOU a Peaceful (and Delicious) 2024 from Berastagi, Sumatra

Merry Christmas everyone, welcome to Sumatra, Indonesia!! Absolutely incredible to be here, and wow are we happy to finally visit (after I have been living in South East Asia for almost 15 years!)

I will share more details about this amazing place, but as it is my FIRST time here, therefore maybe my first time to greet you, I want to be clear about the true meaning of Christmas - the "tidings of great joy" - as this video is going live on Christmas day.

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD that "we are loved," or that "God loves you?" Well, its true! Each and every one of us is loved by God, loved SO much. God loves us so very much that (in our human timeline) about two thousand years ago he sent his only son Jesus into the world to be the light of the world, to die for us, that we might be free. FREE to live in peace with one another, with a guarantee of hope in a future not leading to death but a bright future of Life. I am proud to visit this new country today (as I do all the new places I visit!) as a representative of that love, and of the hope that I have in Him.

Thank you for joining us for this meal together, it IS a happy occasion for sure!, but I also hope that you know that PEOPLE are the most important thing on earth. I believe that the way that God asks us to "Love one another, just as we love ourselves" is not just something to say, but actually something to strive for, something to live for!, and I believe that with encouragement, forgiveness, kindness, and hope (all different aspects and actions that will happen when we put LOVE first) we can enjoy small glimpses of heaven right here on Earth.
