Ingredients
Fish (Any) - 10 slices
Tamarind juice - half cup
2 tsp oil
4 shallots (Chopped)
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
3 Big Tomatoes (Grated)
Curry leaves - one strand
1-2 Green chilies (can add more if you want to make spicier)

Instructions
Step 1: Wash fish pieces nicely and pat dry using power towel.
Marinate fish pieces with salt, turmeric, and tamarind juice for 30min.

Step 2: In a bowl, take ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder and chili powder. Add little water and make a smooth paste. Keep it aside.

Step 3: Put a pan on medium heat. Add oil and fry all the marinated fish pieces both the sides for 5 min all together. Do not over fry or else fish would become hard.
Take out the fish pieces.

Step 4: In the same pan, add chopped shallots and fry until it is translucent. Add the spice mix. Fry for another 2-3 min.

Step 5: Add grated tomatoes and cook until oil starts to separate on the sides.

Step 6: Add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.

Step 7: Now add fish pieces, curry leaves, green chilies and cook for 10 minutes.

Serve hot with steamed rice.
