How to make a DIY fabric sunglasses case with straps, lining and interface | Easy sewing tutorial

Hello and welcome to sew and stack by Abaniz !
In this video I'm sharing with you how to make a fabric sunglasses case with straps. This is a beginner friendly sewing project and you only need small pieces of fabric to complete this one. I have selected cotton fabric to sew this sunglasses case and all are pre-washed and ironed.

Materials :
For outside fabric - two pieces measuring 4 X 8 inches
For inside/lining fabric - two pieces measuring 4 X 8 inches
Middle padded layer - two pieces measuring 4 X 8 inches (from an old sweater)
For straps (optional)- two pieces measuring 1.5 X 8 inches
Pins or craft clips
A pair of scissors
Sewing machine and a coordinating thread

You don't necessarily need to use straps, plastic snap is another good option to use in closing the case. You can use this case either for your regular eyeglasses or sunglasses.

I always try to use whatever I have in hand first before buying any new craft supplies. Even in this project I used my old sweater to cut out the pieces for the padded layer. I used that same fabric in making a pot holder too. You can see how I did by simply clicking the link below.
