🅴🅿🅸🆂🅾🅳🅴 2 : Modhera Sun Temple is an architectural marvel that dates back to the zenith of Indian architecture!!!!
Being 2'nd largest sun temple in India with 1000 years of ancient history, one can never miss this wonder when in Gujarat.
It is a temple made to honour the Sun God in Modhera village of Mehsana district on the bank of River Pushpavati. The temple complex is divided into three parts – Gudha Mandapa (the shrine hall), Sabha Mandapa (the assembly hall) and Kunda (the reservoir).
Flying Passport Tips:
1. Being early gives you ample amount of time to Explore this wonders.
2. Better to purchase online tickets to avoid long queues.
3. Hiring a guide will make the place much more interesting.
4. Don not forget your sunglasses and suncream and your Camera :)
How to get to Modhera sun temple :
Distance from Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Modhera is 101 km and it takes around 1.45 hours. From Mehsana it is 26 km.
How to get to Adalaj step well :
Adalaj Ni Vav is in Adalaj village, near Gandhinagar, Gujarat state capital, and about 18 kilometres from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
One can take a taxi, take an auto-rickshaw, or catch a bus for Gandhinagar.
Where to Sleep :
Ahmedabad will be best bet to spend a night or two, to explore in and around.
What to Eat:
Dhokla is the all time favourite in Gujarat and not to miss the yummy street food in Ahmedabad.
