Simple steps to follow when solving Simultaneous Equations via Substitution:
Finding the Y variable
Step 1- Identify the equation that you want to work with first.
Step 2- Solve the equation of interest for the x variable
Step 3- Substitute the x variable into the next equation.
Step 4- Solve for y

Finding the x variable
Step 1- Identify the equation of interest.
Step 2- Solve said equation for the Y variable.
Step 3- Plug the value for Y into the next equation.
Step 4- Solve for X.
