JJ was put into a car and driven to the 500 block of Garfield Avenue, where they waited for the ambulance. But even the ambulance had trouble getting onto the street due to more gunfire happening further down the block. Sadly, JJ Lewis died at the hospital that night. Before this tragic incident, DJ had already had a few run-ins with the law, including outstanding misdemeanor warrants, possession of marijuana, and driving without a license. But those minor charges would soon pale in comparison to what he was about to face.
