The jaguar is the third-largest cat in the world, and the largest big cat to live in Latin America. But its natural range – spanning 18 countries – has been drastically reduced, leaving less than 50% across fragmented pockets. With the species’ genetic diversity and very survival at risk, conservationists started work on the Jaguar Corridor to link jaguar clans to one another.

But how can human landscapes be made safe for wild cats? One innovative organization is leading the way. 👉🏽 Panthera works in 11 of the 18 jaguar range states to protect this magnificent species.
