Kamigamo Shrine is located in Kita-ku, Kyoto. Kamigamo Shrine is one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto, and it is said to have been built in 678, the time of Emperor Tenmu. Inside the vast site, there are 41 shrines and buildings of important cultural properties in addition to the national treasure main shrine and Gonden.
