This preliminary interview was conducted as part of the research process for the film. With a lack of historical material to work from, we were forced to meet each of the Grand Masters individually as part of our pre-production.

The film 'Red Belts: Grand Masters of BJJ' was crowd-funded using the IndieGoGo platform. We received contributions from the worldwide jiu-jitsu community as well as from a number of business sponsors. We thank everyone who donated money to the making of this film.
