Loved working with Manta Sleep on this one — and as this video goes live, I'll actually be using my Manta Sound Mask on a plane to Mexico. Make sure to get yours at the link below, and use the code BRIEFED at checkout for 10% off:

It was about time I covered Jeanne D'Arc wasn't it? Maybe you know her better as Joan of Arc, maybe as Jehanne Darc or any of the other names she goes by in other languages. Whatever name you know her under... Joan of Arc was a boss. A teenage boss. Amongst all these historical greats that I covered on this channel, this is one of the most incredible stories, since Joan of Arc was only 17-19 years old when she accomplished all that she accomplished. This girl literally paved to way for the liberation of France — a feat that's usually exaggerated, but in her case absolutely legit. It can not be overstated how much of an impact she had on European history... all before the age of 20.

Notes:
After Joan of Arc's death, an inquiry into her trial was ordered by the French crown, and Jeanne D'Arc acquitted of everything. Kind of too little too late after she burned to death, but... better than nothing. All her charges were annulled in 1456, and even the Vatican got involved in clearing her name, so eventually... she became a serious martyr in France. Shouldn't come as a surprise, since most of us remember her as a hero today, and her sad demise thanks to the betrayal of the country she saved is almost an afterthought, now that her country claims her so proudly...

The scenes in the beginning are from The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc — a movie from 1999, covering her life. Worth a watch.
