Today, I visited "Kissa Nerine," a cafe located in Toyonaka City, Osaka.
This café is run by 24-year-old owner-pâtissier Kubota, and it operates in a corner of a 100-year-old traditional house.
Inside the shop, there is a large wooden deck surrounding a big willow tree, allowing you to enjoy delicious sweets while relaxing in a space filled with greenery.
After graduating from culinary school, Kubota gained experience working in restaurants and, dreaming of independence, participated in pop-up events and markets.
By chance, she was able to open her café in this location and realized her vision by creating a space that reflects her ideals. The cakes she makes have a gentle taste, not overly sweet, emphasizing the quality of the ingredients.
Though the café has only been open for about a year, it has become beloved by locals, and on this day, the place was bustling with customers, quickly filling up as soon as it opened.
