The Germans weren't the first to see the island of Guernsey for it's strategic value. In the early 1800s, the British began preparing for a possible invasion by Napoleon by building a series of fortifications on the very sites where the Germans would be building during WWII. We're exploring one of those sites where two conflicts overlap at Fort Hommet.
