Pro Tour Berlin in 2008 is an event defined by the power of Elves. The creature based combo deck has taken the brand new Extended format by storm and it has put historic numbers of the archetype into the Top 8.

Finally sitting in his first Pro Tour Top 8 ever, LSV has piloted arguably the fastest version of the deck in the field and is poised to take over the combo heavy field.

The problem?

His opponent is playing the only deck in the room that looked at a metagame skewed towards creatures and creatures that combo and built a rogue deck that only he and his team cooked up.

One that is explicitly designed to dismantle Elves.

Luis Scott Vargas is a Magic legend, but even he knows this matchup is terrible for him.

Every avenue Sweden’s Kenny Oberg leads him down just closes down his gameplan further and further.

Down 0-2 in an absolutely desperate situation with the matchup looking as bad as advertised Luis must rally for the reverse sweep or be eliminated. And to do so, he’ll find the one road Oberg couldn’t close.

Believe me when I say it’s ridiculous.
