This is a short little video, but I wanted to share it anyway. I bought one of these strange coins MONTHS ago without realizing they were on backorder and had to wait. It just arrived earlier this week and I just knew I needed to spruce it up a bit.
The box it came in was pretty nice, but not so great for putting on a shelf, and without any paint it just looked flat and sad, so I decided to give it a little weathering pass and made a display stand. I guess you could call this a one day build?
Materials used:
Oil paints
Mineral spirits for thinning the paint
Styrene sheets for the stand
Black spray paint and a topcoat (also for the stand)
Superglue with baking soda as a kicker
