What's The Deal With Meeting Characters? | Walt Disney World 2021

There have been a lot of changes to Walt Disney World since the parks reopened last year. One of those changes is how guests can meet and take pictures with their favorite Disney characters. In today's video, we're going to talk a little bit about character meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World and what you should expect during your next visit.

Greetings Fellow Mortals! My name is Kathryn and this is the 2 Foolish Mortals channel. WELCOME! This is a place where we [my husband and I] talk about Disney, travel and making the most out of your next Walt Disney World vacation.

⚠️ UPDATE ⚠️

As of November 2021, select indoor meet and greets have returned to Walt Disney World. This includes Disney Princesses at Fairytale Hall [Magic Kingdom], Mickey at Town Square Theater [Magic Kingdom], Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams [Hollywood Studios] and Disney Junior Stars at Animation Courtyard [Hollywood Studios]. Unfortunately hugs and autographs are still NOT permitted. However, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy one-on-one time with the characters and take photos.

Guests enjoying character meals at Walt Disney World can now stand to take distanced photos with their favorite characters. As mentioned above, hugs and autographs are still NOT permitted, but some Cast Members have started taking photos for guests with their phones/cameras.

Meeting your favorite characters at Walt Disney World looks a little different nowadays. Rather than standing in line and waiting for your opportunity for an autograph and a hug, guests now have to keep their distance. In today's video we're going to talk about what you can expect when visiting Walt Disney World if you're planning on meeting your favorite Disney pals.
