The Mannlicher M1905 was a semi-automatic pistol designed by Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher in 1899 and originally produced in Austria as the Mannlicher Model 1901.
The Mannlicher Model 1901 was an improved version of the Model 1900, both of which were produced by Österreichische Waffenfabriks-Gesellschaft (commonly known as Steyr).
The Mannlicher 1905 was the version of the Model 1901 that the Argentine Army purchased from Steyr in 1905.
It was single action, used a blowback operation system and was chambered in 7.63mm Mannlicher.
Like its predecessors, the 1905 had a non-detachable magazine that was loaded from the top with a 8-round stripper clip.
A total of around 10,000 of these pistols were acquired by the Argentine armed forces.
Production lasted from 1905 until 1910.
