In my last video, I built a Native American bow.
Now the hunting arrows with different tips to match this bow. In the video I show the production from the young branch to the finished arrow. The glues used are also from nature. At the end of the video there is an intensive shooting test with the arrows.
The arrow consists of a light main shaft made of hazelnut with a length of 28 inches (71cm). The foreshaft is about 6 inches (15cm) long. The training tip is made of hard ash 25/64“ (Ø10mm) and for the stone and metal tips of yew 5/16” (Ø8mm). The total length of the hunting arrows is 34 inches (86cm).
The weight for the training arrows is about 500 grains (32 grams). For the hunting arrows 540 grains (35 grams).
